block printed textiles for everyday enchantment
these textiles are meant to be used, enjoyed, and handed down. since they’re printed by hand, each one comes out a little bit different—a bit darker here, lighter there—so you know your piece is one of a kind. just like your home.
why block printing?
for each design, I start with an original drawing, transfer it onto a natural linoleum block, carve it, then print it by hand. it’s a slow, inefficient process, which is part of why i love it.
my practice is as sustainable as possible. linoleum is a natural material, so nearly all waste is composted. and i only work with natural fibers, mostly flour sack fabric, which is 100% cotton.
